2/5/17

an investigation into the existence of material essence and its limits when manipulated by the hand. The focus is on very visceral and evocative encounters with sculpture, painting and installation, the work existing somewhere between these ideas.

'WOMB' - 10 minutes

as an instruction piece, audience members were invited to come up and wrap me as tightly as they could in multiple bed sheets, pinning them in place.
an exploration of the body in space, of swaddling as both a relaxation and a feeling of tension or anxiety.
trust, endurance, and the body as sculpture were also considered.
